GarSync is a sports data sync and management app that supports 35+ platforms including Garmin, Strava, COROS, Huawei Health, and Keep. Key features include:

Why These Age Ratings?

Social Media Features

GarSync includes an optional social feed where users can share their workout activities, view content from other athletes, give kudos (likes), and follow other users. The social feed is OFF by default — users must actively choose to join the social community before any content is shared or visible. These features constitute social media capabilities — the ability to redistribute, amplify, or interact with user-generated content through a social feed or similar discovery method.

The social features are designed for the sports and fitness community. Shared content is limited to workout data (distance, pace, average heart rate, route maps, etc.) — there are no chat rooms, direct messaging between users, photo sharing, or comment threads.

Content Descriptors

• Social Media — Opt-in social feed (OFF by default) with user-generated workout content, kudos, and follow system.
• User Generated Content — Users may publish workout data to a public or follower-only feed.

Parental Controls & Guidance

Social Features Are OFF by Default

The social feed is disabled out of the box. Users see a "Join Social" prompt and must explicitly opt in before any social content becomes accessible. If a user never joins, the app operates as a pure fitness data sync and analysis tool with no social functionality whatsoever.

If social features have been enabled, parents can disable them at any time. When social features are turned off:

• The social feed tab is hidden from the main navigation.
• Workout data is no longer published to the public feed.
• All kudos, follow, and profile visibility features are disabled.
• The app functions as a pure fitness data sync and analysis tool.

How to disable: Open GarSync → Settings (gear icon) → Account & Security → Leave Sport Circle or Delete Social Activity. The change takes effect immediately and is persistent across app restarts.

Account Requirements

GarSync requires an account to use any features, including social. We recommend parents create and manage the account for children under 13. The app supports Sign in with Apple, which can be configured with parental controls via Family Sharing.
